Stamped Heat Transfer Plates
Extruded Heat Transfer Plates
The PEX Heat Transfer Plates are made up of a fine aluminum and the most commonly used methods in the manufacturing of these plates are either stamping or extrusion techniques. This plate is very important in improving the performance of the Radiant Heating system by distributing the heat from the PEX tubing in to the floor above. In order to reduce the heating cost these plates also call for a lower water supply at high temperature to reduce the heat.
The best features of PEX heat transfer plates are their breadth and the flat surface and these are very beneficial in distributing the heat. There are two different types of heat transfer plates that are available in the market. They are the thicker heat transfer plates and the thinner heat transfer plates. Thicker Heat Transfer plates are usually planned for under subfloor installation.
The heat transfer plates are commonly known for its three major functions.
They are:
- 1.Heat transfer plates are useful in carrying away the heat from the tubing and distribute it through the floor joist and along the bottom.
- 2.These plates are well supported by plastic heat exchanger tubing.
- 3.The heat transfer plates significantly lessen the heat loss in the down track.
There is some dissimilarity in the views about the thickness and the quantity of the aluminum and also in the necessity of aluminum in the PEX heat transfer plates.
